Nick Tsivanidis (IDE ‘10) will join UC Berkeley Haas School of Business as Assistant Professor in Fall 2019. Currently he is the International Economics Fellow at Dartmouth College.
Nick is an applied economist with interests across Urban and Regional Economics, Development Economics, and Applied Macroeconomics. His research centers on connecting theory with empirics that combine new sources of granular data with natural experiments to learn about the process of urbanization in developing countries.
In his Job Market Paper (click here) Nick assess the aggregate and distributional effects of urban transit networks through the lens of the construction of the world’s most used Bus Rapid Transit system in Bogotá, Colombia.
Nick completed his PhD in Economics in May 2018 at Chicago Booth.
